August Favourites!

hey beauties!

I know I said in my last post that my next post (so this one) would be a hair tutorial but I am just so excited to share some products that I've been loving this month with you guys!

Beauty favourites:

My first beauty favourite is the CoverGirl Clean Whipped Foundation! I was kind of hesitant when I first got it but after trying it out for a few weeks I started to really love it! It has such a nice consistency and is so easy to apply! Its an all around good foundation especially for the summer and into the fall!

My next favourite I've only had for a week or too but I fell in love right away! This being a Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake! Now I have other lip butters and I absolutely adore them! Its the color of this lip butter that I fell in love with! Its a really soft pink, perfect for everyday wear!  I recommend all lip butters they are so moisturizing and most of them are very pigmented!

I have another lip product that I've been loving this month as well! That being the CoverGirl Smoochies Lipslicks in #tweet me! Its a really gorgeous red color but more sheer so its good for everyday wear! Plus the formula is really moisturizing!

This favourite I believe is like a cult favourite! That would be the NYC Smooth Skin Powder in Sunny! Pretty much every beauty guru that I have ever watched has raved about this bronzer! It truly is an amazing product, completely worth all the hype it gets! And for $3 can't go wrong! The color is gorgeous and it has excellent pigmentation!

My last beauty favourite I've had for a while and rediscovered it this month! Its an Avon Perfect Wear Eyewriter Liquid Eyeliner in Evening Black! Its so pigmented and creates a really nice line on my upper lash line! I'm not the best when it comes to eyeliner in the containers that look like ink but this one is pretty easy to use!

Random favourites:

My Cinnamon Sugared Donut candle from Bath and Body Works Fall 2012 Collection! I'm so mad they never released this scent again this year! :( it smells SO good! I've been burning it a lot this month in excitement for fall! (If theres any fall related posts you guys want to see let me know!)

My last random favourite for August is a couple songs! First one being Turn The Night Up by Enrique Iglesias and Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis! I saw the music video for Same Love for the first time this month and I cried and fell in love with the song all over again! And Turn the Night Up is just an awesome fist pumping dance song! Perfect for running to too!

Back to School Series: How I Organize My Binders!

hey beauties!

My schedule has been thrown off this week .. So sorry about that! Stomach flu and a head cold at the same never ends well .. :(

I will try to get another post up today if possible!

Todays post (well what should've been yesterdays post) is how I organize my binders for school! I still haven't started school yet, but I do have all my binders organized and ready for when I do start!

The binder I will be showing is my Chemistry binder but I organize all my binders in the same way! I use the Staples Better Binder, I think it's a 1 1/2 inch but I'm not sure exactly! I got these last year and they are still in good condition! These binders are great!

On the inside cover of the binder there is a little pocket. I usually use this for sheets that are not hole punched or work that I need to do or already did!

Usually at the beginning of my binder I will have my class schedule but I haven't gotten mind yet since I haven't started! So right now I just have my big 250 page notebook!

And then I have a ton of loose leaf,

After the loose leaf I have tab dividers! These ones I hauled in my school supplies haul, they are from the brand Avery and they have pockets which is awesome! I have them sectioned off in handouts, notes, labs, tests/quizzes and assignments. Whatever handouts my teacher gives out I put in the handouts tab, if I print off some notes or if they were written on loose leaf instead of in my notebook I will put it in the notes tab. In chemistry we do labs sometimes so I will put any sheets or notes pertaining to the labs in the labs tab, any tests or quizzes we get passed back will go in the  tests/quizzes tab and finally any assignments we do that needs to be passed in or I got back go in the assignments tab!

Finally at the back there is another pocket that I keep the extra tabs that you write on and some sheet reinforcements!

So this is how I organize my binders! I hope you enjoyed!

Now I want to see how you guys organize your binders! Leave a comment below or tweet me!

Bath and Body Works Haul!!

hey beauties!

so this post was completely unplanned but whatever I'll just go with it!

I ended up going to Bath and Body Works twice in the last two weeks or so and each time I bought candles ..

If you watch any beauty videos on youtube you should know that pretty much everybody in the beauty community has a candle obsession I have no clue why but its true! I am included in this candle obsession! If you want a candle collection post or a bath and body works collection let me know!

Onto the haul!

The first trip I walked in and saw a massive sign that said 2 3-wick candles for $25.50 which is really good if you live in Canada which I do! So I went around looking for their fall candles and they only released a few scents ... But I found 2 I liked!

On the left is Autumn which smells like apples and all things delicious! (I'd tell you the description but for some reason they don't print a description on the ones here .. Is it just the part of Canada I'm in or is it all over Canada? Can someone let me know please!) And then on the right is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin which smells like cinnamon and pumpkin ... Wow what a great description .. Scents are so hard to describe! The only thing I can say is if you have a bath and body works near you and you haven't smelled any of these scents you must go smell them!

The second trip (which was today) I walked in and the whole store was on Buy 2 Get 2 Free!! And what did I pick up? More candles of course!

Blueberry Pumpkin Patch is just fantastic! It smells mostly like blueberry pie and its so yummy!

Pumpkin Cupcake is a lot like Frosted Cupcake but better! The hint of pumpkin just makes it so much sweeter and better!

These next 2 scents both just smell like fall thats the only way to describe it!

Pumpkin Apple kind of smells like a type of candy but I can't remember the name of the candy .. It smells good either way!

And of course what would a fall candle haul be without Leaves? When I first smelt this scent last year I wasn't sure what the whole hype was about this but now I know! It is the perfect fall scent! It can be a little overpowering so for my tiny room I only light one wick! But the scent is just fantastic and it is probably my favourite scent!

I was hoping that Cinnamon Sugared Donut would come out again but no such luck :(

So thats the end of my haul! I am in the process of finishing my tutorial, that should be up in a couple hours so stay tuned!

Have you guys gotten anything from bath and body works recently?! What's your favourite fall scent?! Tell me in the comments below or tweet me a picture!

Back to School Series: Everyday Makeup Tutorial!

hey beauties!

So todays post is what makeup I usually wear to school! I don't like to look like I am wearing a ton of makeup at school so I stick to very neutral colors for my eyes and now and again bold colors for my lips!

Now into what I do!

first I applies moisturizer all over my face, (I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizer SPF 15) then I applied my foundation all over my face, (I use CoverGirl Clean Whipped Foundation in the color 340) with my E.L.F Stippling Brush

Then I applied my concealer under my eyes (I used CoverGirl TruMatch Concealer in the color 2)

The foundation I used does a pretty good job of covering blemishes and acne but if you would like more coverage you can use a concealer! (For blemishes I use Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer in the color Ivory)

Then I set my foundation and concealer with my E.L.F Clarifying Pressed Powder in Ivory with my E.L.F Complexion Brush!

this next step is completely optional, I contoured a bit with some bronzer to give some shape to my face! (I used my NYC Smooth Skin Powder in the color Sunny with my Sephora Contour Brush!)

Onto the eyes!

First I started out with an eye base! I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in the color Barely Branded and I applied that with my finger all over my eyelid

Then I applied a matte very light brown pretty much the color of my skin, (I used Wet n Wild Color Icon Single in the shade BrulĂ©) all over my eyelid with a Body Shop Eyeshadow Brush (just a flat shader brush)

And then I put a darker brown in my crease! I used a darkish brown from my Sephora Palette with my E.L.F Blending Brush (its just a small fluffy brush)

I didn't apply any eyeliner but I do sometimes! When I do I use a liquid felt tip liner (I use CoverGirl 24h Liquid Liner in black)

Then I curl my lashes and apply a nice coat of mascara! I use the E.L.F Eyelash Curler and Rimmel Scandaleyes  Shoe Off Mascara in black!

So this is the finished eye look:

As you can see it is very natural so I put on a brighter lip color thats still not too bold for school! I used the CoverGirl Smoochies in the color #tweet me

And that was my everyday makeup tutorial for back to school! I hope you liked it!

Now I want to see your everyday makeup for back to school and if you recreate this look! Tweet me a picture with the hashtag #ebeverydaymakeup
