October Favourites!! + October Photo Challenge Day 31!

hey beauties!

so today is halloween! where did this month go?! like october is over .. time is going by way too fast!  but the end of the month also means monthly favourites!!

this month i went through my makeup stash and found some products that i fell in love with again!


Beauty:

during the month of october i discovered blush! yes i did know it existed and i did own a couple different blushes but never wore them! no clue why but thats not the point! i started to wear my e.l.f. Studio Blush in Candid Coral and fell in love! i know this is more of a summery color but i don't own any darker blushes yet!


another favourite of mine is Revlon Colorstay Foundation! its a little bit of a heavier foundation so its great for the colder weather! i have a whole review on this foundation and of how much i love it! (click the name)


my second last beauty favourite is my eos lip balm! this thing has been my lifesaver since the weather cooled down! it moisturizes really well! i usually apply this before i apply my lippie of the day!


my last beauty favourite is my Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer! this has been another life saver of mine since the weather has gotten cold! i used it in my How To: Super Smooth Skin - Face post!


Random:

my Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works! its just a classic fall scent what more is there to say about it?


a food favourite of mine this month is hot chocolate!! really who doesn't love hot chocolate?

How To: Super Smooth Skin - Face! + October Photo Challenge Day 30!

hey beauties!

do any of your faces get really dry and rough in the winter?  and wonder how can i get my skin smooth again?

well this is where i come in!

i suffer from hereditary acne so naturally i don't have the best skin and what makes it worse is i have naturally dry skin! so i've learned a couple things in my quest to better skin!


the first thing i do is exfoliate about every second night! exfoliating makes your skin super duper soft but can make your skin feel a little dry.  if exfoliators dry out your skin badly, don't use it as often! so maybe use it once or twice a week! my favourite exfoliator at the moment is St. Ive's Apricot Scrub! (I will do a review on this soon!)

after i exfoliate i apply my moisturizer! i usually exfoliate in the night when i get my shower! right now i don't have a night moisturizer so i just use my day time one which is the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer!

the key to smooth skin is finding what works for your skin! what works for one person may not work for another but moisturizer is good for all!

All our pictures are on our computer in my basement which is currently being renovated .. But i will tell you what my favourite costume was! My all time favourite costume was my mouse costume when i was like 4! :)

Review on Revlon Colorstay Foundation! + October Photo Challenge Day 28!

hey beauties!

now that i'm caught up to where i'm supposed to be on my posting schedule, i have for you a review! 

I bought the Revlon Colorstay Foundation probably about 2 months ago because of eleventhgorgeous on youtube! They rave about this product in many of their videos so i thought why not give it a try! 

I bought 2 foundations at the same time so i used the other one i bought first since it was lighter and it was still warm outside! (I don't like heavy stuff on my face when its warm out!) Now that the weather is after cooling down a lot i don't mind having a heavier foundation on!

(When i say a heavier foundation i mean its not super duper light like a bb cream!)

• This foundation isn't really heavy! You almost forget you're wearing makeup!

• It doesn't look cakey! 

• It blends easily!

• It has a nice consistency!

• It has really good coverage! 

• Its a drugstore foundation so its very reasonably priced! 

The only downside to this product is that it doesn't have a pump. Having to pour out the foundation can be a bit annoying at times, there could be wastage of valuable product! 

Overall this product is awesome! I love it a lot and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good drugstore foundation!

I give it a 4.75/5 

(only because it doesn't have a pump, if it had a pump 5/5 for sure!)

Sweater Weather Tag! + October Photo Challenge Day 26!

so today i have a little tag for you! i've seen a few different fall tags floating around youtube the last few weeks but this one seemed the most popular! so lets get right into the Sweater Weather Tag!


1. Favorite candle scent?
either Leaves or Pumpkin Carving from Bath and Body Works!

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
hot chocolate most definitely! 

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
probably jumping in leaf piles after my dad raked all the leaves!

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
hmm well i love them both but i don't own many dark lip colours but i suck at winged eyeliner.. i didn't really answer that question then but i guess i will go with dark lips!

5. What do you want to be for Halloween?
i don't dress up for halloween anymore! 

6. Favorite Thanksgiving food?
TURKEY<3 and bread pudding! 

7. Hats or Scarves?
scarves!

8. Most worn sweater?
probably my pink Xersion sweater from JCPenney!

9. Favorite fall nail polish?
i don't have many nail polishes that i would classify as fall nail polish .. even though i do not own an ox blood colour nail polish i still love that for fall and i am currently on the hunt for one!

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
where i live we don't play football (we love hockey) and i don't jump in leaf piles anymore so neither!

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
i only own 1 pair of leggings and they are falling apart so i have to go with skinny jeans! (jeggings should be an option ....)

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
i wish i had a pair of combat boots but i don't so uggs it is! (i pretty much live in my uggs so...)

13. What's your #1 favorite thing about fall?
probably the holidays that come in the fall and just after! it's usually when i get to see all my family and i loveeee the food <3

Put a Twist On Your Hot Chocolate! + October Beauty Challenge Day 24!

hey beauties!

Before we get started i should probably fill you in on my absence! We started our renovations this past weekend which has been chaotic (if any of you have went through renos you probably already know this) and along with that we're getting things ready for halloween and our trip coming up! So things have been crazy and i wish i could say that its going to calm down soon but it isn't .. Whatever posts i have missed in my absence will be up today (probably within the hour) and then we'll be back on track! (I hope ..) 

And now for todays post! 

I know you're wondering how hot chocolate has anything to do with beauty or fashion, and my answer to that? It has absolutely nothing to do with fashion and beauty!

But! I love hot chocolate and i wanted to show you a couple ways to put a twist on your hot chocolate! 

1) add a spoonful of peanut butter!

Now obviously if you have a nut allergy don't make this .. But if you're okay to eat peanut butter then listen up!

Prepare your hot chocolate like you normally would! Here i'm using my Keurig but you can make your hot chocolate whatever way you would like!

Then add in a spoonful of peanut butter! Add as much or as little as you would like!

Make sure you stir this well so that all the peanut butter melts!!

Optional: add some whip cream on top!

2) my favourite way! Add some caramel! 

Make your hot chocolate like you normally would! I'm making mine the same way i did before!

Then add in a squirt of caramel (i use caramel ice cream topping!) or as much or little as you would like! 

Stir the caramel so it melts!

Optional: add some whip cream on top with a drizzle of caramel! 

No need for plain boring hot chocolate now!

What are you guys asking for for christmas?

I need to make up my list and i have no idea what to put on it!! And now for my mission for you guys! If you guys want me to start making videos, i want 50 google+ followers, 100 twitter followers and at least 100 page views in one day! Now thats a lot i know! But if you guys really want videos then i know it can happen! So spread the word my lovelies!

How To: Smooth Lips! + October Photo Challenge Day 22!

hey beauties!

Ever want beautiful, soft, kissable lips? 

The winter is on its way and if you live anywhere that gets either bit cold, you're probably already getting some pretty chilly weather! (Here today it got to like 5 degrees celcius....) 

Everyone knows that cold weather drys out our skin and our lips! But how can we fix that? I will save our skin for another day, so today i will give you my tips and tricks for getting beautiful, soft, hydrated, kissable lips! This works all year round but especially once the cold weather hits!

So lets get started!

1) Start with clean lips, so no lipstick, lip gloss or lip balm on them!

2) then apply a lip scrub! 

You can buy these in stores (i heard elf's is pretty good and lush's is amazing) or you can make one yourself! The one i have here is the one i bought at Lush when i was in the US this summer! Its in Bubblegum which tastes and smells amazing!!

Scrub this all over your lips and then lick it off! (Don't do this with all lip scrubs because they may not be edible but this one is!) make sure you read the directions on the product!!! They could have special ways that you need to use it! If the product isn't edible like Lush's then just wipe it off with a cloth!

3) apply a lip balm! 

I personally use Vaseline because its super hydrating on my dry lips but eos lip balms work well too! Use any lip balm that you love and works well for you! Make sure it is really hydrating though, if not you may not receive the softness that you desired! 

Et voila! Soft lips! Now this wont last forever! So do this every night or once every two or three nights depending on how dry your lips get! 

And that is how i get my super smooth lips! Keep an eye out for some more how to's and maybe a recipe or two! ;)

This one is Juicy Couture's Viva la Juicy! My all time favourite perfume ever! I wear this pretty much every single day! It smells amazinggg!! If you haven't smelled it before you got to go smell it!!

I thought i would give you a heads up that i will no have any posts up for 1 week in november! I won't have my phone with me (if i do end up taking it then i will be posting as normal but i'm still unsure yet) and my phone is what i use to do my posts! If i can find a way to post i will but as of right not i don't think i can! Before i leave i will let you know whats going on and be prepared for a hugee haul when i come back plus some pictures from my trip! As well some first impressions on some items and how to style certain clothing pieces! Some awesome things coming in november! Make sure you keep an eye out! :)

Are You Warm or Cool Toned? + October Photo Challenge Day 20!

hey beauties!

If you are anything like i was, you probably have no idea if you are warm or cool toned! I had no idea what that even meant let alone what one i am! So i did a little research and thought i would share my findings with you! 

There are many ways to tell if you are warm or cooled tone! So what are they?

1) Turn over your wrist and look at the veins, do they have a more blueish or greenish tint? If they have a blueish tint you are cool toned, if they are greenish then you are warm toned!

2) take two things that are pink and orange, like 2 tshirts or 2 scarves! Hold each one up next to your face and see what one makes your skin glow! If its the orange then you are warm toned, if its pink then you are cool toned!

I hope this helped a little if you did not know what one you were!

Day 20: Lazy Day Attire!

My mom just got me this but it is awesome for lazy days! What is it you may ask? Well it is a onesie! Yes a onesie and it is the most comfortable thing i own! I cant really wear this to school when i'm having a lazy day so for then i'd just wear yoga pants, leggings or fat pants and some sort of hoodie or sweater!

I wanted to take a picture of my pumpkins but its currently pouring rain and they're outside .. So the only other orange thing i could find was my teddy bear i got 4 years ago in St. Pierre! I loved that trip so much and if you ever have the chance to visit there you should! It really is a beautiful place!

October Photo Challenge Day 17! + Announcement!!

hey beauties!

i'll start today with my announcement! Well technically i have 2 but one of them is probably only exciting for candle lovers like myself .. And that would be that Bath and Body Works has released some of their Christmas scents in stores!!! Now i live in Canada and my store is always last to receive anything so i'm not sure what scents are out yet but if any of you guys know please let me know!!

And for the second announcement is that in november i'm going to start a new monthly series where i test out a few products during the month and let you know how if i liked them or if i didnt! I haven't thought of a name yet though .. I was thinking about Best of the Tests or Monthly Testers! If you have any other name ideas let me know!!

And now for the october challenge!

Common White Girl Tag + October Photo Challenge Day 16!

hey beauties!

so today i thought i would do a tag post since this one has been travelling around the youtube beauty world a lot recently and everybody likes tags right?! today's tag will be the Common White Girl tag! so here we go!

1. Favorite starbucks drink?
I actually haven't tried any drinks from starbucks! but when i go to Florida next month i will be sure to try the pumpkin spice frappe! 

2. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
including eating, probably 45 minutes if i just wear my hair up in a bun like i usually do but if i was given 2 hours to get ready i could use all of it!

3. How many selfies do you take on a daily basis?
i take selfies once in a blue moon .. (meaning rarely ever)

4. How many IG followers and pics do you have?

sometimes jokingly

obvi not .... KIDDING of course i do!

Sorry about the lack of posts the last few days! It was thanksgiving weekend here in canada so lots and lots of food and family! I will post the days i missed in the october challenge tonight so keep an eye out for those!
