Holiday Series!

hey beauties!

I have a couple posts almost ready to go up but I wanted to make a quick post about my Holiday Series! I have a few post ideas that I think would be fun to do but I'd like some more suggestions! ALSO I need a name for the series, maybe #ChristmaswithMandy? I don't know you guys are more creative than me!

so for posts I was thinking starting pretty soon, and I have a few ideas:
1) Christmas Wishlist (can be controversial sometimes but I personally like these posts and think they are quite helpful!)
2) Christmas Party Makeup!
3) Christmas Eve/Day Makeup
4) What I Got For Christmas (again controversial but I personally think they are a lot of fun!)
5) DIY Room Decorations
6) ootd/ootw

I would really like to get a few posts up a week but I've run out of ideas! So if you guys have any ideas leave a comment or tweet me @e_beauty19 on twitter!

it's been awhile since I posted here, I elaborate a bit more on this in a upcoming post that's in the works. but for now here is an outfit of the day from a few weeks ago when I went vanity shopping with my mom!

(yes I took the picture inside the store whoops, sorry it's super dark)

scarf: Rue21 (which you can barely see because of the bad lighting but it's black with coloured skulls all over it)

September Favourites!!

hey beauties!

wow I haven't done a favourites post in a long time! this month was a really good one, I've gotten to try out some new products and fell back in love with some old favourites! and hey who doesn't love the beginning of fall time?

beauty:

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude this thing is awesome! I use it on my waterline to brighten up my eyes and its just amazing! It has pretty decent staying power and it doesn't look as harsh as a stark white would! Highly recommend!

Maybelline Big Eyes mascara I really don't care for the top lash part, I'd mich prefer the Rocket but the bottom lash part is perfect! It makes applying mascara to the lower lashes so much easier and it coats each one perfectly! I do get a little bit of smudging by the end of the day but other than that it's a really nice product!

Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks in Coralberry and Black Cherry (mentioned in my Fall Favourites Tag)I got these two probably about half way through the month and used them pretty much everyday since! Black Cherry is a little harder to wear daily since it's so dark but I make it work! Coralberry is a lot easier to wear and more of an everyday type color! Both are pigmented and very creamy! Absolutely love both!

Essie For The Twill Of It mentioned in my Fall Favourites Tag is such a beautiful color! It's a very fall color in ny opinion. I've been wearing it nonstop all month and probably will until I break out the Christmas colors! I'd try and describe the color to you but it changes colors depending on how the light hits it! Its just gorgeous!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush I got this back when I was in Florida the summer but never really used it much since it was too hot to wear foundation but not that it's after cooling off and I started wearing foundation again I started using this brush too! It applies foundation beautifully! It leaves such a flawless finish! Even though the brush is kind of small, the bristles are so densly packed it makes application super easy! Definitely recommend this brush! You all need this in your life!

Fashion:

Knee-high Boots I've been rocking these pretty much all month long now, they're super cute and go with everything! Definitely a staple in my wardrobe!

Scent:

Bath and Body Works Marshmallow Fireside (mentioned in my Fall Favourites Tag) this has been burning all month long in my room! It smells so yummy! I love it!!

For perfume, I switch it up a lot but lately I've been reaching for Viva La Juicy Noir!

Body Care:

I've been using lotions like there's no tomorrow this month! My favourite thoough has to be Bath and Body Works Secret Wonderland! Its a softer kind of scent but reminds me so much of fall and winter!

Random:

okay I think I've mentioned before that I live in Canada so Tim Hortons is a big thing here which you may know, now they have this muffin out for fal, it's a Pumkin Spice muffin and it gives me life. I absolutely love them so much and I think I've spent a small fortune on them .. No shame

oh and also I tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte and Frappachino from Starbucks this month and enjoyed them both a little too much! #whitegirl


Movie:

I can't really rememeber if I saw If I Stay this month or last but either way it was such a good movie! Now I didn't cry at the Fault in Our Stars but I did cry at If I Stay .. once again no shame


I do believe that is it for my september favourites! I hope you all enjoyed and I will try to get back into doing these each month! (ps holiday season is literally right around the corner! but like I'm not excited or anything ..... Pft no ....)

Fall Favourites Tag!!

so sorry about the lack of posts lately! everything has been so hectic!
but in all this mess I managed to find a fall tag floating around! Lindsey or beautybaby44 on youtube created this fall tag and I thought it was pretty cool so I thought I'd do it too!

1. face product
hmm I absolutely love my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder!

2. cheek product
I'm really not into the blush/bronzer/highlighter scene to be quite honest although I've heard that Becca Opal is a gorgeous highlighter! (however $46 for a highlight is not really my thing)

3. eye product
love love love my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette! (definitely lusting after the 2nd one now!)

4. lip product
i couldn't choose just one but my two favourites are definitely Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick Black Cherry and Revlon Lip Butters in Raspberry Pie!

5. hair product
I've really been into the leave-in conditioners lately! the one I've been using is Regis Designline Normal Care Leave In Conditioner!

6. fragrance / candle
for perfume Viva la Juicy Noir and for candle BBW Marshmallow Fireside!

7. nail polish
I really love the darker colours for fall, especially Essie For The Twill Of It

1. trendy clothing item
flannels! okay well I don't actually own a flannel yet but I really do love the look of them (are they considered trendy? who knows)

knee high boots are probably my favourite!!

- Fun Favorites -
1. Halloween or Thanksgiving?
such a hard question! i really do love them both! since I live in Canada, Thanksgiving is before Halloween and it's not as big as it is in the states! I don't usually get to see all my family on Thanksgiving either. So I think that I like Halloween a smidgee better

2. Favorite festive food and/or drink
i've recently tried the pumpkin spice latte from starbucks and fell in loveee! and for food it has to be turkey<3

3. What's the happiest part about fall for you?
oh gosh, I just love everything about fall! It's so weird but stepping on crunchy leaves makes me so happy so i guess maybe that's one of the happiest parts about fall? oh and that it's starting the holiday season which is the best!

Eye Tutorial!

hey beauties! 

I've been kinda obsessed with this eye look lately and really wanted to share it with you guys! originally I was going to call it a "high end tutorial" but then I realized a few things: only 2 of the products I used could be considered high end, a lot of people already own these products and even if you guys don't have these exact products there's so many drugstore dupes that are a lot cheaper! 

Let's Get Started! 

(ps sorry if the eye pictures are bad, I'm trying to figure out a way of showing you guys what I'm doing with the shadows so I'm experimenting)

first I applied my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original, there are some pretty good drugstore primers but I really recommend this one!

for this look I'm going to use my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, again you can find dupes for these shadows but I recommend this palette!

first I'm going to take W.O.S and put it all over my lid and up to my brow

then I took Naked and put it in my crease and blended it in! you can deepen the look more by adding Faint into the outer V but I prefer not to when I wear this look to school! also Venus makes a really good highlight for inner corner and under brow!

then I curled my lashes with my E.L.F eyelash curler, applied two coats of my favourite mascara Maybelline The Rocket and put Rimmel Kohl in Nude on my waterline!

here are a view pictures of the finished eye look (even though you can't tell because the pictures did NOT turn out well ..) 

as I mentioned in my High School Makeup post, you can see that the E.L.F eyelash curler doesn't do a good job of curling my lashes!

so I hope you guys enjoyed! next tutorial I'll try to find a better way to show you the steps, and again you don't have to use the exact same products that I do but I do really recommend checking out the Naked Basics palette! and if you're more into taupe hues then definitely check out the new Naked2 Basics!!

note: my apologies for not finishing the back to school series, not long after school started i ended up back and forth to doctors offices and ended up with a cold .. great right? but I'm all better now and will be back posting more now! :)

Back to School: What's in My Bag!

hey beauties!

I was going to do an organization tips post BUT my tips are pretty much the same as everybody (and I'm not the most organized person ever) but basically 1) planner! super important! and 2) have individual notebooks and/or binders for each subject!

okay now into today's post!
my first few years of high school I was never really into carrying around a bag, but towards the end of my junior year I started to and it made things so much easier! I do use a book bag but I leave it in my locker once I get to school!

Let's Get Started!

my bag is from Target!

in the first pocket in the front I keep gum (a school essential), halls (for when I have a sore throat), a hair tie and bobbi pins! 

in the other pocket in front I keep feminine products for that lovely time of the month (sarcasm)

on the side I have a PocketBac holder from Bath & Body Works, I'm not sure what the scent it is but I do know it's from last winter's collection! 

there's a little zippered pocket just above the two front pockets, in there I usually have an assortment of lip products! today there was a Baby Lips and a Mac dazzleglass!

here's a view of the inside part of the bag!

first in my bag is my planner, this one is from Target!

then I have my pencil case with all my pencils, pens, highlighters, etc., mine is from Staples

lastly is my wallet, my momma gave this one to me last Christmas! 

there is a couple little pouches inside, in them I have my eraser for easy access and a lotion!

inside the zippered pouch inside, I have some American money from when I was in the States last month and some Tums for when my stomach is bad!

so that's pretty much everything I carry in my bag. some things change depending on where I am going, I'm also terrible at keeping my bags clean so usually there's an abundance of wrappers, coupons and anything else you can imagine! 

I hope you guys enjoyed! oh and just a heads up: I won't be doing an August Favourites post just because in the summer I don't use that much makeup and I haven't really found any products that I've fallen completely in love with besides like 2 things.
